Finance Administrator

As Finance Administrator you will be responsible for overseeing and managing individual accounts, creating invoices, monitoring cashflow and reconciling accounts. You will also perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Internal Finance Manager and Directors.

The Position:

We’re looking for a Finance Administrator to join our ever-growing team. An outline of the job and what it will entail is stated below.

When assisting the Internal Finance Manager, the Finance Administrator will:

  • Liaise and chase clients for outstanding payments.  
  • Work with Xero Accounting Software to reconcile payments with the bank.
  • Monitor cashflow and investigate variances.
  • Create sales invoices using Xero and IRIS and submit for approval.
  • Create credit notes when required.
  • Post supplier invoices and arrange payments.
  • Pay cheques into the bank.
  • Reconcile petty cash monthly.
  • Reconcile the company credit card monthly.
  • Set up and manage direct debit mandates.

The above is not a complete job description, as you will have ad hoc requests or projects assigned to you on a regular basis.

About you:

  • Answer telephone in professional manner inc. taking card payments and passing on messages.
  • Interact well with clients and other staff members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organisation.
  • Strong mathematical and administrative skills.
  • Work independently but also as part of a team and help others when required.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Xero and IRIS is desirable.
