Celebrating 25 years in style

5th July 2016

On 2nd July 2016 Dunkley’s Chartered Accountants hosted a corporate tent at Thornbury Carnival in conjunction with local distillery Bramley and Gage and Cadman’s’ Wealth Planning.  As this year has seen Dunkley’s celebrating 25 years in business, it seemed fitting to celebrate the milestone with the local community that has supported their growth.

The carnival included a parade that demonstrated the strong and diverse community within Thornbury as well as a range of stall holders, a fun fair and various music stages. Each year the event attracts around 10,000 visitors and provides a great opportunity for local charities and businesses to raise their profile.

Dunkley’s mascot, Mr Sprinkles (a gorilla statue from Bristol Zoo’s 2011 campaign), was positioned outside their tent, attracting much attention from the crowds. Clients of Dunkley’s and Cadman’s were invited to join their hosts for complimentary G&Ts provided by Bramley & Gage. Dunkley’s longest standing clients, Richard and Maureen Gardner of Michiko Pearls, joined them to celebrate and can be seen in the photograph below.

Dunkley’s founder, Mike Dunkley, talks about his involvement in the carnival “As a resident of Thornbury I understand the importance of supporting local events. The support of the local community has played an integral part in the growth and development of my business. Now that we are celebrating 25 years of trading I wanted to invite clients, old and new, to the carnival and showcase all it has to offer.”
