We're getting spooky for charity

3rd November 2015

Halloween BallThis Halloween Dunkley’s Chartered Accountants partied in style at their third charity ball. Guests from across Bristol and South Gloucestershire flocked to join the firm’s masquerade ball to raise money for local charities Children’s Hospice South West and Friends of Bristol Haematology and Oncology. These charities are particularly close to the staff at the firm and over the years they have built a close affinity with them.

The event was held at the Aztec West Hotel & Spa in Almondsbury on Saturday 31st October and attracted over 120 guests. Local businesses such as Wards Solicitors, Octagon Consultancy, Cadman Wealth Planning, Braley’s and Headford Group joined the party and generously contributed to the fundraising.

Many of Dunkley’s clients and contacts kindly donated a range of prizes for the auction and raffle including a helicopter ride, a set of pearls and a holiday cottage for ten in Cornwall. One of the organisers, Siobhan Dolan, talks about the generosity of those involved;

“So many of our clients and contacts have been extremely generous, without their support we simply couldn’t hold this type of event. Organising a charity ball is a great opportunity for everyone at Dunkley’s to have fun and raise money for a good cause.”

The team are hoping to raise over £3.5k, however donations are still coming in so the final amount raised is yet to be confirmed. Please contact Siobhan Dolan siobhan.dolan@dunkleys.accountants to make a donation.

If you’d like to hold your own event to raise money for either of these charities please contact Louise Turner louise.turner@chsw.org.uk or  Elizabeth Pritchard, Elizabeth.Pritchard@UHBristol.nhs.uk.
