The Position
The main responsibilities of a Tax Trainee will be to assist in various aspects of tax-related tasks. Responsibilities may include preparing and reviewing tax returns, P11Ds and ATED returns as well as support the Senior Tax Manager with tax planning projects and compliance matters.
It is a role that allows for learning and growth within the tax field. The successful applicant must have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan and anticipate their own workload, so the tax team continues to deliver a professional service to our clientele.
An outline of the job role below:
- Completing personal tax returns
- Completing CGT returns
- Being a team player and supporting each other with queries, and other staff members with queries
- Dealing with client post, ensuring letters are checked and clients are updated.
- Trust tax returns and annual declarations
- Share transfers/reclassification.
- Tax calculations
- Overpayment relief claims
- Communicating with clients, ensuring their requests are fulfilled, i.e., SA302/Tax year overview requests, repayment chasing.
Qualifications
- Be looking to begin working towards ATT qualifications.
