As a member of our highly motivated accounts team, you will be responsible for the output of statutory accounts jobs within the team.
Working alongside your Sub Team Leader, you will have the resources needed to deliver an excellent standard of accounts support, whilst providing constructive feedback to facilitate the departments growth.
As an Accounts Trainee you will nurture relationships with a diverse client portfolio. You will take ownership of your workload and gain invaluable experience by being responsible for seeing a job right through to completion. This will involve regular touchpoints with your respective Sub Team Leader to ensure the work is of a high standard.
An outline of the job and what it will entail is stated below:
- Undertake professional training with AAT/ICAEW/ACCA.
- Prepare statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, sole trader and partnerships.
- Preparing and drafting corporation tax returns.
- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and ensure financial integrity.
- Managing important departmental / statutory deadlines.
- Building a good rapport with clients and providing an accounting team with relevant information.
- Managing your own workload and calendar to ensure an effective and timely output.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Meticulous attention to detail and have demonstrable ability to organise and prioritise yourself to enable you to meet timelines.
- You will have strong mathematical and administrative skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- You will have had some experience of working independently and as part of a team; as well as going the extra mile to help others when required.
- You will be fully conversant with all Microsoft packages.
- You will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ambition to succeed and develop your career aspirations within the firm.
- You will have a strong work ethic and be resilient to conflict challenges.
Qualifications
- You hold a minimum of Maths A Level at B / 6 and above and GCSE Grades at A / 7 grade or above.
