The Position

Supporting the broader tax team, the key responsibilities of this role are to assist in various aspects of tax-related tasks.

You responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing tax returns, and ATED returns and supporting clients with their queries. Exciting opportunities will come about to support the Senior Tax Manager with tax planning projects and compliance matters. This is a unique position which will support your learning and knowledge growth within the tax field.

Key responsibilities:

• Completing personal tax returns.

• Completing CGT returns.

• Dealing with client post, ensuring letters are checked and clients are updated asappropriate.

• Trust tax returns and annual declarations.

• Share transfers/reclassification.

• Tax calculations.

• Overpayment relief claims.

• Communicating with clients, ensuring their requests are fulfilled, i.e., SA302/Tax year overview requests, repayment chasing.

 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Hold a minimum of 3 A levels or equivalent, including Maths.

• Be either working towards AAT qualifications or the ATT qualification.

• Have a thorough working knowledge of all Microsoft packages and ideally, although not essential have experience of working within a case management system.

• Be a team player and prepared to support team colleagues with queries and workloads.

• Be resilient and have demonstrable ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

• Be able to form good professional collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering a supportive learning environment.

• You will have demonstrable organisational, prioritisation skills along with an ability to retain a professional composure at all times.
